Panorama image of southern section inside the walls. Tai He Men building is in the center. The curved "Golden River Stream" (Chinshi Ch'iao) splits this section in two so people have to cross over one of 5 bridges to get into the Tai He Men ("The Gate of Supreme Harmony") and pass through to the next section north of it. The center bridge was once the exclusive use of the emperor. The two flanking it were for the use of the royal family and the outer two were for court officials.
