Cliffrose at Angels Window stop Grand Canyon

Cliffrose at Angels Window stop at North Rim Grand Canyon (Arizona USA) along the road to Cape Royale. Cliffrose is a shaggy evergreen member of the rose family. It has blossoms and long, white-plumed seeds most of the summer. Hopi Indians made sandals, mats, and rope from its stringy bark, arrows from the wood, and medicine from the foliage. (Information taken from the roadside sign.)

Photograph taken June 2008. This image is 42% size of the original.
