Fault Scarp

Curved ridge at the base of Rockchuck Peak is a fault scarp at Grand Teton National Park (Wyoming USA). This marks the break between the Tetons and the valley at the Teton fault. The valley floor piece moves downward while the Teton mountains piece rises upward. This is the view from the Cathedral Group turnout. This image is 42% size of the original.
