Two giant marionettes used in the 2008 Olympics. Info from plaque (with some clarifying of the "chin-glish" phrasing):

Marionette

These two giant marionettes are for celebrating the achievements of science & technology cooperation between Johnson & Johnson and Emperor QinShihuang's Terra-cotta Army Museum for the preservation of cultural relics over the past years. The warrior is 7.2 meters tall and weighs 654 kilos, while the little girl is 4.5 meters tall with 208 kilos. The marionette performance "Warrior and Little Girl" were organized by Johnson & Johnson and the Terra-cotta Army Museum during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The amazing performance made the ancient terra-cotta warrior come to life.

As shown by the ancient warrior and the modern girl each with different characteristics and from different times, the giant marionettes acted out a story of caring, friendship and peace that exemplified the concept of the People's Olympics. This unique performance drew wide attention of the audience from all over the world during the Beijing Olympic Games.

The two giant marionettes here are the largest marionettes in the world and were made entirely by hand.
